Could improve: During our stay, an intruder entered the apartment through the kitchen window while we were inside and stole cash and my passport. The property was described as safe, with security, high fences, and an electric fence. After the incident, we were informed that the electric fence had not been functioning. This information was never communicated to us beforehand. What was particularly concerning is that after the incident, other guests staying on the property were not informed or warned to be more cautious. Life continued as usual, with windows left open at night, which felt very unsafe given what had just happened. After the theft, the host told us that the passport would be returned. It was later brought to the police, which was unexpected and did not reduce how frightening and serious the situation was for us. This was a very distressing experience, and we did not feel safe. The incident has been reported to Booking.com. I strongly recommend future guests to carefully consider the safety situation before booking.
