Onevia Booking — Please read these terms carefully before using our platform
These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Onevia Booking, a digital hospitality booking platform owned and operated by Onestore Technologies Limited, based in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.
By accessing, registering, or making a booking through Onevia, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you must immediately stop using the platform.
To use Onevia Booking, you must be at least eighteen (18) years old or possess the legal authority to enter into binding agreements under the laws of the United Republic of Tanzania.
By using this platform, you confirm that all information you provide is truthful and that you are legally capable of making bookings and payments.
Onevia Booking operates as an online intermediary platform connecting users with hotels, apartments, lodges, guesthouses, conference halls, and other accommodation or venue providers across Africa.
Onevia's role is to facilitate the booking transaction and provide the technology platform. Any dispute regarding the quality or delivery of services must be directed to the property provider in the first instance.
To access certain features, you may be required to create an account. By creating an account, you agree to:
- Provide accurate, current, and complete registration information
- Maintain the confidentiality of your login credentials and password
- Accept responsibility for all activities conducted under your account
- Notify us immediately at support@onevia.co.tz of any unauthorized account use
- Not share your account credentials with any third party
Onevia shall not be liable for any loss or damage arising from your failure to comply with these obligations.
All bookings made through Onevia are subject to availability and final confirmation by the property provider. A booking is only considered confirmed once:
- Payment has been successfully processed and verified
- A booking confirmation has been issued via email or in-app notification
- A unique booking reference number has been assigned
Users are responsible for carefully reviewing all booking details â including dates, prices, property descriptions, and cancellation rules â before confirming their reservation.
Payments are processed through secure, certified third-party payment gateways. Accepted payment methods include:
- Mobile money: M-Pesa (Vodacom) and Airtel Money
- International cards: Visa and Mastercard
Onevia does not store sensitive payment information such as full card numbers. All payment data is handled exclusively by PCI-DSS compliant payment processors.
Onevia shall not be held responsible for payment delays, failures, or errors caused by banks, mobile money operators, or third-party payment processors.
Onevia Booking applies a standard platform-wide cancellation policy across all listed properties, unless a property explicitly advertises different terms at the time of booking.
6.1 Free Cancellation
A booking may be cancelled free of charge if the cancellation is made more than 48 hours before the scheduled check-in time. In such cases, the guest will receive a full refund of the amount paid, subject to successful processing by the payment provider.
6.2 Late Cancellation
If a booking is cancelled within 24 to 48 hours before check-in, a late cancellation fee will apply. The penalty is calculated as 50.00% of the first night's accommodation cost. The remaining balance, if any, will be refunded.
6.3 No-Show & Last-Minute Cancellation
If a guest fails to arrive at the property on the scheduled check-in date without prior cancellation, or cancels within 24 hours of check-in, the booking will be treated as a no-show. In such cases, 100.00% of the total booking amount will be charged and no refund will be issued.
6.4 Long-Stay Bookings (7+ Nights)
Bookings of 7 nights or more are subject to the following tiered cancellation conditions:
6.5 Non-Refundable Rates
Certain bookings offer a non-refundable rate at a discounted price of 10.00% off the standard rate. When selected, the booking cannot be cancelled and no refund will be issued under any circumstances. By selecting this rate, you expressly waive your right to cancellation and refund.
6.6 Refund Processing
Approved refunds are processed back to the original payment method used at the time of booking. Refund timelines may vary depending on the payment provider and are outside the direct control of Onevia Booking. Typical processing times:
- Mobile money (M-Pesa, Airtel): 1â3 business days
- Credit/Debit cards (Visa, Mastercard): 5â10 business days
6.7 Platform Role Disclaimer
Onevia acts solely as a technology intermediary facilitating reservations. While Onevia applies and enforces the standard cancellation policy, it is not responsible for delays or failures in refund processing caused by banks, mobile money operators, or third-party payment services.
The following activities are strictly prohibited on the Onevia platform:
- Making fraudulent, false, or speculative bookings
- Using automated bots, scrapers, or scripts to access the platform
- Attempting to gain unauthorized access to any part of the platform or its servers
- Uploading, transmitting, or distributing misleading, defamatory, or unlawful content
- Interfering with or disrupting the integrity or performance of the platform
- Reverse engineering, decompiling, or disassembling any portion of the App or website
- Using Onevia for any commercial purpose not expressly authorized
- Impersonating any person or entity, or misrepresenting your affiliation
Onevia reserves the right to suspend or permanently ban users involved in prohibited activities, and to pursue legal action where applicable.
All content, software, source code, logos, trademarks, trade names, designs, graphics, and materials on the Onevia platform are the exclusive intellectual property of Onestore Technologies Limited.
Unauthorized copying, reproduction, modification, distribution, or public display of any Onevia content is strictly prohibited and may result in civil or criminal liability.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Onevia and Onestore Technologies Limited shall not be liable for:
- Indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from use of the platform
- Loss of revenue, profits, data, or goodwill
- Service failures, unavailability, or errors by property partners
- Acts or omissions of third-party service providers including payment processors
- Events beyond our reasonable control including natural disasters, strikes, or government actions
Onevia reserves the right to suspend or permanently terminate your access to the platform at any time, with or without notice, if:
- You violate any provision of these Terms
- You engage in fraudulent, illegal, or abusive conduct
- Your account presents a security risk to the platform or other users
- Continued access would be contrary to applicable law
Upon termination, your right to use the platform ceases immediately. Any pending confirmed bookings will remain valid and will be honored in accordance with these Terms.
These Terms shall be governed and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the United Republic of Tanzania.
In the event of a dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms or your use of the platform, the parties agree to first attempt resolution through good-faith negotiation. If unresolved, disputes shall be submitted to the competent courts of Tanzania.
If you are a consumer, you may also have the right to seek redress through the Tanzania Consumer Advocacy Society (TCAS) or other applicable regulatory authorities.
