What a beautiful idyllic location with thee most wonderful caring considerate & compassionate staff. This location & resort is as authentic as you can imagine. It is right next to the beach & small local fishing village is in operation. The cutest bungalows are set in the most beautiful garden settings. (It’s like a slice of paradise) All are equipped with air conditioning fans & hairdryers. ( and huge comfortable beds) There is a main seating area undercover & a more open setting plus multiple other more intimate areas available to be used for dining & socialising throughout the day. The rooms are cleaned daily & fresh towels & toilet paper are supplied by the most wonderful & friendliest housekeepers. If you need anything literally anything just ask & they will go out of their way to accommodate you. The gardeners are out in force every single day tending to the gorgeous grounds & pools. There are two pools available complete with sun beds. The food is absolutely both Devine & delicious (huge portions) ! Locally sourced produce. The avacados papaya & coconuts are picked fresh daily from their own surrounding gardens ! the chefs are amazing & will accommodate any particular dietary needs & local beer & wines are available all day (no limitations) Please go & visit Bella Vista for yourself & experience the location,staff,food,atmosphere all of which are genuinely authentic. I have nothing but praise & admiration for this amazing resort. The staff are absolutely amazing I would love to thank each & everyone for their kindness & compassion for making me feel both welcome & comfortable during my stay in June 2026 from the manager Khamis to the receptionist Matilda, the chefs, housekeeping, the waiters & waitresses, the gardeners & groundsmen they all deserve credit for their contribution to making my stay an amazing experience. I would love to go back & I would definitely stay at this resort again . I cannot emphasise or recommend Bella Vista enough please go & experience this resort for yourself if you value authenticity & local people with hearts of gold Every single member of staff are genuinely kind caring & compassionate there isn’t anything they won’t do to accommodate you. They will even arrange any excursions you may wish to experience & make suggestions if you haven’t planned ahead. My stay & experience here will forever be etched into my heart mind & soul. The location is just a piece of paradise. This small hotel has the most beautiful sunsets 🌅 and looks over a fishing village. The atmosphere from the minute you walk in is warm, relaxed and the staff welcome us with warm face flannels which was very welcomed. We had asked for an upgraded pool room and it was rolm 15 which was perfect. Large balcony looking right onto the pool. The tranquility by both pools is tropical and visually mind blowing. The ground staff work very hard to maintain the beautiful. This hotel is literally 8minute walk away from the most amazing saalam cave. The turtles there are totally incredible. To be able to wake in the morning and turn up and pay 15 dollars for 30 minute or 30dollas for an hr was very special and effortless for such a wonderful life experience. Strong recommend booking trips with the hotel staff as we did, and they was absolutely amazing. Very affordable, reliable and flexible to your itinerary by listening and suggesting local advice and it all added to a magical day. I highly recommend this hotel. I only arrived home today and I’m already in talks with my family and friends to make a return to this wonderful hotel.

We stayed at Bella Vista Resort Zanzibar and had a truly wonderful time. From the moment we arrived, we felt well taken care of; especially by Sharleene, the resort manager. She is an incredible person: kind, professional, and always ready to help. ❤️ Definitely talk to her about excursions, she really knows her stuff. Everything felt relaxed and easy: the driver would wait for us, there was no rushing, and the whole experience was very laid-back. The food was great, and the resort itself is absolutely beautiful. We stayed in a beachfront bungalow, and the view was simply breathtaking. A small note for future travelers: it’s helpful to familiarize yourself with Zanzibar and the local village life, and to keep your expectations flexible. Power outages can happen, and not all fruits or vegetables from the menu are always available; but that’s part of the authentic island experience. Embrace the beauty of Zanzibar and enjoy the warm, positive energy of the local people. It’s truly a special place. 🏝️☀️

I just returned from a two-week stay at Bella Vista Resort. I regret not booking a longer stay; everything about this place is perfect. The view, the atmosphere, the food, and especially the people who work there are incredibly kind and professional. Sherline, the manager, is a wonderful woman who knows the area very well and is always willing to give advice on what to see. I recommend this place to everyone; I felt right at home there. This certainly wasn't my last visit to this magical place.

This little haven of a hotel is in the perfect location on a small beach set in beautiful gardens. So peaceful and quiet inside and a perfect retreat to get away from the busy tourist places of Zanzibar. The room was perfect with all the facilities I needed. Great value for money and the staff are amazing from Della in the restaurant to Matilda on reception they couldn’t do enough to ensure you have a great stay. Sharlene the guest manager is always around, so friendly and helpful and knows every guest by first name. If you want a picture perfect Instagram hotel with Luxury then this is not the place for you. The locals are on the beach early preparing their boats for tours and fishing. You are in the village and among locals which for me was perfect to experience the real cultures and people of Zanzibar. Don’t expect electricity 24hrs a day this is Africa it’s an experience that must had.
