Delta Hotels by Marriott Dar es Salaam

Great location, spacious rooms, sea view, access to Slipway Could improve: Water pressure in the bathroom was not good and limited hot water. Staff at times knocked the door even when we had a do not disturb sign on the door.

Reception staff were very helpful. Rooms were clean. Location near Slipway which I love to visit whenever I visit Dar-Es-Salaam Could improve: Nothing

Delta Hotel gives you that feeling of being on holiday, while still being right here in Dar es Salaam. It’s the perfect place to unwind, have a cup of coffee during the day or a glass of wine as the sun goes down. The sunset from the hotel is just magical 😍 The food has also improved significantly. Everything I’ve tried has been delicious, and it really adds to the overall experience. All in all, if you’re looking for a lovely place to slow down, enjoy the view, have good food, and feel like you’re on a little holiday without actually leaving Dar es Salaam, then Delta is definitely the place to go!

I'm not a hotel guest, just a regular at Delta by Marriott Dar es Salaam, and honestly it's become one of my go-to spots in the city. The views are stunning and the location makes it easy to swing by for coffee, lunch, or their Friday mixers. Sunday brunch on the jetty is a real highlight. Great spread, gorgeous setting right on the water, perfect for catching up with friends over a few hours. What really sets this place apart though is the management. The manager is genuinely hands on and attentive, and you can tell because of how the whole team treats regulars. Always welcoming, never feels transactional. Whether you're staying here or just stopping by like I do, it's a solid choice in Dar. Highly recommend the Friday mixers and the jetty brunch if you're local and looking for a good spot with a view.
