Jambiani Backpackers Hostel

The people were great. William and Mohammed were super! Fellow travelers were nice and we hung out together a lot. The property was beautiful and well designed. The breakfast was delicious.

My 7-day trip to Jambiani, Zanzibar, was an unforgettable tropical escape! This hidden gem on the southeast coast offers warm weather, stunning white-sand beaches, and a peaceful Swahili coastal vibe, a perfect contrast to busier spots. I woke to beautiful sunrises over the Indian Ocean. Jambiani's coast, with its palm trees and traditional dhow boats, is serene. By the end of my 7 days, I left Jambiani not just relaxed, but with a new appreciation for slow, community-focused travel. The island’s magic isn’t in fancy amenities or wild party scenes—it’s in the warmth of the local people, the unspoiled natural beauty of the coast, and the way time seems to slow down enough to actually savor every moment. I’m already planning my return trip, and I’d recommend Jambiani to anyone who wants more than just a generic beach vacation: this is a place that feels like home, even after just one week. ✨✨✨✨✨ Could improve: Nothing

The property looks amazing! Super nice pool, cozy space around the bar area, tables and chairs all around the pool as well where you can chill. The owner and staff are super nice. We feeled so welcome and at home. Anything we needed (food, transportation, activity recommendations, etc.), we only had to ask and received immediate help! The beach is nearby and you can easily get to Paje with a tuktuk in 5 minutes. It was a great stay and we'll certainly be back! Thanks to all the amazing team 🙌🤗
