Kumekucha Ocean View

Mama the cook was a good lady who knew how to cook the local Swahili dishes so it was good. We had asked the Host to tell the team to make us some roasted fish, rice, and peas which was spot-on delicious. For the evening we had ordered a local chicken (and paid for that) we wanted to eat with rice and the mama did full justice. The following Morning was not as expected but then after lunch we had decided we will cook our own dinner and paid the manager to get some fish that we cooked ourselves. But Naomi the host was super nice and was always ready to help us online with whatever she could. Could improve: The breakfast was not good as the person who cooked did not understand Swahili and how we wanted our breakfast. For the eggs supply, we had to ask them again in the morning and it took the person a while to bring the eggs. We had informed the person a night before what we required for breakfast but we only got the breakfast late. The only fruit that was served to us was A pineapple for breakfast, Luckily we had carried our fruits from home so we had that. Unfortunately, when we woke up at 7:00 a.m. the following morning, there was no water in the entire house. We had to call the manager to get it sorted. We waited until 11:00 a.m. for the water tanker supply to arrive from the nearby village. After the water was filled in the tank, there was air blocked in all the taps, so we had to wait another half an hour to actually use the water and show and brush our teeth at noon. So the suggestion is the manager and cook should make sure to check the water tanks every morning for the level of water present in the tank. They are required to make sure the night before they leave they ask for what is required for the following morning in breakfast and what time. However, we did mention upon arrival that we would need breakfast between 08:30 am to 09:00 am. It would be good if there were some board games or a garden to sit outside. The trees planted in front of the patio in the lower part of the house block the view of the ocean. But the upper balcony has an amazing view of the ocean.

Amazing location, stunning views in a beautifully appointed house, near an oasis of a beach, and with a real coffee machine. Really recommend. Could improve: One of the showers had a weird set up for hot water
