Leparadis Zanzibar Boutique Hotel

Staff are very friendly and room was very big and spacious. Could improve: There is no fridge in the room as described on booking.com which is unacceptable as it’s one of the main reasons I booked this hotel. Bed sheets were dirty from both sides. When I arrived there was no electricity for 5 hours and only after I complained to reception they switched it on so I don’t understand why this wasn’t done automatically? I was then told to not use AC until 7pm because the generator is not strong enough so power will go off again. On my first night I came down for breakfast after 8am but there were no employees present anywhere, I even walked to the top floor thinking it will be made there instead but no staff to be found. I was running out of time as I had a tour booked for 9am so I gave up and didn’t have breakfast. I managed to order it on my 2nd morning. Water in the shower and sick had an awful sewage smell, it was disgusting. Luckily on my 2nd night hotel owner was kind and moved me to another room where water didn’t stink.
