Mahi Mahi Beach Hotel

Beautiful grounds, with large rooms and a restaurant overlooking the ocean. Staff were all very helpful and kind. Could improve: Watch out for monkeys who try to break into your room (lock your patio doors - they know how to open door handles). The beach disappears completely during high tide, which didn’t bother us but may not work for everyone.

We loved our week’s stay here! The staff made us feel so welcome. The chef is superb! Unbelievable views from our room and anywhere else in the hotel. It’s a quiet, tranquil area, which we loved. Watching the monkeys every day was fantastic, especially when they peeked through our windows! Could improve: Nothing!

The location is simply amazing. Situated right by the beach, the hotel offers stunning views and easy access to the ocean, creating the perfect setting for a relaxing getaway. The food exceeded all expectations. Every meal was delicious, fresh, and beautifully presented. The cocktails were equally impressive, prepared with great care and packed with flavour. We have just returned from our 5 night stay at Mahi Mahi and what a beautiful place this is. The location is perfect for that peaceful break and the hotel itself we couldn’t fault. The staff went above and beyond every time, the food was some of the best we had eaten in Zanzibar and the facilities were just perfect. The bed was comfortable and the cleaner sprayed our room every night to prevent any bites from the mosquitoes. We would highly recommend this hotel to anybody who is after a quiet, peaceful break. Could improve: Nothing, everything was fantastic.
