Mkonge Hotel

The staff was very friendly, the garden is beautiful, the sunset amazing.. Could improve: Rooms are old.. it’s old glory.. WiFi doesn’t work well in rooms

location,scenery Could improve: At Mombasa hotels all staff were wishing JAMBO At Mkonge the staff would stare at us and NO GREETING We were the only 3 Guests staying at the Hotel for 3 Nights stay We asked for rooms facing the sea BUT the reception did not want to give us EVEN though the HOTEL was EMPTY for our 3 days stay All Hotel in Mombasa give water for FREE BUT at Mkonge only 2 bottles of water per day free rest you have to buy The Executive Director or the Manager used to be around BUT NEVER said Hello or Wished us ( Very poor Customer relations) Such a beautiful Hotel Location and Rooms BUT the staff and Management were completely let down Earlier reviews for this Hotel has same comments Looks like Management just ignores Guests reviews Hope some will look into this On last day we wanted to settle the bill BUT the credit card machine would accept Credit cards with PIN ONLY I am from USA ,other guest was from UK and one from Kenya Only the guest from Kenya Had Credit card with pin The Hotel should get more updated Credit Card Machine AS We Shopped in Tanga town, and all Shops credit card machines would accept all cards without pin
