Samora River Lodge

Excellent and friendly staff, pleasant and clean rooms, and good food. Our stay here was very nice. The rooms are a nice size and have what you need. The location is a mixed blessing. On the good side, the location a bit away from town surrounded by forest is very quiet and gives the feeling of being in serene wilderness. Could improve: As mentioned, the location is a mixed blessing. Be warned that the location is a bit out of town. It's not really walkable, and taxis/safari operators might complain, charge more, or refuse to drive to the hotel. We didn't have any real problems, but our safari driver (who was a bit cranky anyway) said he 'didn't realise how far our it is, usually they only do pick ups/dropoffs to hotels in the centre area'.

Beautiful, modern clean rooms. Staff very accommodating, served us dinner after 10.30 pm with a smile. You do need to request this in advance! Could improve: It is out of town, so no restaurants etc in facility facinity, however we enjoyed a lovely dinner on site (hotel requires prior notice)

El hotel parecia estar dentro de una selva, los paisajes eran hermosos y era muy tranquilo. El personal fue muy amable y servicial. La comida era espectacular y la relacion con los precios tambien era muy buena. Recomiendo este hermoso hotel con su hermosa gente para los que quieran tener una experiencia en Arusha! Could improve: Lo unico malo que podria decir es la ubicacion, ya que el hotel estaba algo lejos de la ciudad mas cercana. Para ello es necesario un taxi, los cuales honestamente no son muy baratos.
