“Preis-Leistungsverhältnis okay! Es gibt aber bestimmt noch besseres!”

🙂 Liked: Der Garten ist schön angelegt. Das Haus hat einen schön gestalteten Aufenthaltsbereich sowie eine große Küche. Das Zimmer sowie Badezimmer ist geräumig. Das Bett war sehr groß und bequem. Wir bekamen auf Nachrage kostenfrei einen Netzstecker zum Laden geliehen.

😐 Could improve: Die ganze Anlage ist schön aber in einem schlechten Zustand. Alles müsste mal wieder renoviert oder repariert werden. Schade, da es wirklich ein schöner Ort ist. Die Armaturen im Badezimmer waren voller Kalkablagerungen. Am Spiegel war Rost. In einer Lampe neben dem Bett kein Leuchtmittel. Am Abend lief laute Musik im Aufenthaltsraum. Der Trinkwasserbehälter wurde trotz Bitte nicht aufgefüllt. Zum Frühstück gab es an beiden Tagen jeweils ein Ei-Omelett mit trockenem Toast sowie Tee. Kaffe gab es nicht. Um irgendwo hin zu kommen, braucht man ein Tuk-Tuk o.ä.

“A True Home Away From Home”

🙂 Liked: What we liked most about our stay at Tulivu Escape was its convenient location. The house is very close to the main road, so it was never a struggle to get anywhere or find our way back, no matter the time of day. We also loved the spacious bathroom, which was comfortable and very well designed. The beautiful, well-maintained garden created a peaceful atmosphere, and the kitchen had everything we needed, making it easy to feel at home during our stay. What impressed us even more was how clean the entire house was—every corner was spotless and well cared for. The people made the experience even more special. Everyone staying there and everyone working there was kind, welcoming, and friendly. They made us feel like part of a family rather than just guests. Overall, it truly felt like a home away from home. We would definitely recommend Tulivu Escape to anyone looking for a comfortable, clean, welcoming, and relaxing place to stay in Moshi.

😐 Could improve: 2 Morgende inkl. Frühstück bestellt, am ersten Tag gab es eine Banane unf ein Ei, kein Kaffee. Am zweiten Tag gab es gar kein Frühstück. Eigentümer freundlich, aber abwesend, Angestellter vor Ort freundlich aber spricht kein englisch

🙂 Liked: It was a cozy and affordable place for a night :) good for a short stay! It gives more a homestay feeling than a hotel

😐 Could improve: The location is a bit far away. The staff was friendly but it was a bit difficult to communicate with them as they didint speak English that much

“Booking From Hell — Unsafe and Misleading Accommodation”

😐 Could improve: Booking From Hell — Unsafe and Misleading Accommodation I couldn't whrite my review earlier because, of safety concerns and i did not want this experience to rune my vacation. But this was what happened 3/4 November 2025. We rented the entire villa, but upon arrival it was immediately clear something was wrong. There were random pairs of shoes at the entrance, food scattered across the kitchen counter, and the washing machine was running with men’s clothes inside — as if someone was already staying there. Most concerning, one of the four rooms was locked. I repeatedly asked the host why, since we booked the whole villa, but instead of answering he kept pressuring me about taxi fees for the following days. Once he left, I discovered the power was out — something he also failed to inform us about. When I called for clarification, a man suddenly walked out of the locked room with a rude and aggressive attitude. He told me “this is Africa” and that I shouldn’t expect too much. When I asked what he was doing there, he told me he was living in the villa. I immediately felt unsafe — his behavior, combined with the fact that no one told me he was staying there, was extremely alarming. While waiting for a new taxi so we could leave, he wandered around the house in shorts, turned on the TV, and made himself at home. By then the power was back, but we were already done. I took my family and left immediately for our safety. This was my worst experience in Tanzania. The country and its people were wonderful, but this accommodation was unsafe, misleading, and rented under false pretenses.
