Zanzibar House

What did I like? Everything! This place was incredible beyond words could explain. They way it is was marketed versus the actual status was fairly similar although I would say the marketing was a bit downplayed. We were fortunate enough stay here for nearly one week as a family. We came after the family who runs the hotel had been away so mostly had the entire place to ourselves. Our flight was delayed by two hours but the wifi was not great and we could not communicate well. Their driver waited for us and drove us with care a hour into the night. When we arrived not only was a security guard at the gate but the desk manager was fully at our attention despite the nearly 1:00am arrival. He informed us we could have a full dinner served despite our delay. It was incredibly kind and they even offered us a second room which we lightly used and very much appreciated! Between these three variables we did not think it could get better or more kind. The entire week co tinted to shape up like this where each staff member was ridiculously kind with us and our children. David, one of the bartenders and servers, was always willing to share music with me. Paulina who runs the space gave three of us spa treatments in the canopy adjacent to the beach. She was beautiful and gentle in her craft. It was something I wished I had booked in with her every day. The Italian family who manages the establishment has dinner and breakfast with the guests and was always milling about. Max, or I can refer to him as the godfather, would explain the four course dinner menu each night. He was passionate about food and about the menu. We were definitely served and well attended to during this time. My only advice or words of caution include making sure you prepare your clothing to be bigger when you leave! From the simple decor of the 1800s in Zanzibar to the modern and beautiful service, it was a slice of paradise. One day we wanted to take a trip to a more wild beach and so the driver took us.

From the moment we arrived, we felt very welcome and comfortable. The place is lovely, with a warm atmosphere and a beautiful environment. The cleanliness of the hotel is also something we really appreciated : everything is perfectly clean and well maintained. We recommend this place and would be happy to come back. Es war eine sehr schöne Zeit in dem Hotel. Die Besitzer sind sehr sorgsam und machen alles dafür, dass die Gäste sich wohl fühlen und ihnen an nichts fehlt. Das Personal ist auch sehr aufmerksam. Für alle, die Ruhe und Erholung suchen, ist es genau der richtige Ort. Es gibt keine Parties oder ähnliches. Wer das sucht, ist in Matemwe falsch. Das Essen war super. Am besten bucht man in dem Hotel Halbpension, da kann man wirklich nichts falsch machen, es ist alles super lecker. Wir haben die Zeit dort in vollen Zügen genossen. Vielen Dank. Šefo talentas sujungti vietinius ingredientus su itališkomis tradicijomis yra kažkas neįtikėtino. Tai geriausias maistas, kokį teko ragauti saloje! Viešbutis turi ypatingą sielą. Kambariai autentiški, o vaizdas į vandenyną tiesiog užburiantis. Kasdienybę čia praturtina ir nuostabi kompanija: dienos metu jaukumo suteikia daugybė malonių katinėlių, kurie visi be galo nuostabūs, o vakarais sulaukdavome mielo lemūro vizitų – tai suteikė mūsų atostogoms neapibūdinamo žavesio. Personalas neįtikėtinai nuoširdus, jautėmės kaip namie. Jei ieškote ramybės, kokybės ir geriausios virtuvės Zanzibare – šis viešbutis yra tikras perliukas. Rekomenduojame 100 %!“

I can’t recommend Zanzibar House enough! The hotel is perfect. The staff is super friendly and helpful. The owners are very nice people and helped us with bookings for all the day trips we wanted. The breakfast is amazing, rooms are comfortable and clean. We also had a great massage there. It’s a very quiet area. So if you are looking to relax by the pool and beach, this is the place to be.
